Location: Washington DC

This position requires a clear and active TS Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI Clearance

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience working in industry, law enforcement, and/or military with the ability to analyze, assist, measure, and coordinate organizational and operational programs
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of interagency policy documents and reports for senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the formulation of interagency Counter IED policy for presentation to senior level executives
  • Background in tactical or strategic joint military and/or law enforcement plans and policies preferred
  • Extensive software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and Internet research abilities
  • Extensive experience working with SharePoint software required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
  • Possess exceptional management and organizational skills
  • Ability to deploy CONUS/OCONUS
  • Possess a valid Virginia Driver License for the operation of government owned or leased vehicles

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and conduct Counter IED strategic communications
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a Counter IED outreach plan consistent with strategic planning documentation
  • Maintain and enhance outreach tools, such as policy implementation status trackers, activity and engagement trackers, event calendars, and related resources
  • Maintain knowledge management resources, including SharePoint sites. Maintaining content on these sites will be a daily requirement. This includes, but is not limited to: updating and validating membership accounts and posting documentation from various groups
  •  Participate in routine meetings and liaise with program stakeholders
  • Perform research on specific counter-improvised explosive device topics or projects, and assist in the management of these projects
  • Perform numerous writing tasks, including cost studies, reports on programs investigated, and written recommendations for improvements
  • Interact with program management and stakeholders to present reports and provide advice
  • Analyze and evaluate statistical reports as required
