Location: Dumfries, Virginia
This position requires a clear and active TS Cearance with the ability to obtain an SCI Clearance
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- At least ten (10) years of experience with a background working in industry and/or the military to analyze, assist, measure, and coordinate organizational and operational programs
- Background in tactical or strategic joint military and/or Law enforcement exercise planning preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Extensive software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and Internet research abilities
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of interagency After Action Reports for exercises or real world operations
- Strong knowledge of exercise scenario development
- Ability to work independently
- Possess exceptional management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to deploy CONUS/OCONUS
- Possess a valid Virginia Driver License for the operation of government owned or leased vehicles
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the with the development, management and lead when necessary, a variety of exercise formats including but not limited to: table top exercises, WMD crisis operation exercises and no notice readiness drills
- Develop a standardized after action report format and manage the process to ensure reports are properly populated on designated exercises and real world events
- Provide programmatic support to entail coordinating, documenting, tracking and disseminating interagency exercise synchronization and strategic exercise integration efforts
- Provide exercise administrative and logistical support to designated interagency domestic and overseas WMD exercise meetings, planning conferences, and events to ensure: 1) Equities are properly integrated and represented; 2) Logistical requirements are covered for all personnel participating in exercise planning and exercises; 3) Specific after action items are properly captured in exercise final report; and 4) Exercise scenario development support
- Prepare presentations for training, exercises, and meetings
- Provide additional support to interagency meetings/conferences as requested
- Provide in-depth written after action reports for table top and field training exercises involving policy application and performance evaluation, with recommended interagency corrective actions. Prepare meeting/conference minutes, briefs, plans and point papers as requested
- Provide in-depth support to the robust exercise program to include: pre-exercise planning, script writing, exercise execution, exercise control, and a complete AAR process in Full Scale Exercises, render safe drills, emergency deployment readiness exercise, and interagency led exercises
